The Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) program is a multi-donor initiative intended to improve fiscal transparency and the quality of public financial management in countries receiving development assistance. The PEFA program is supported by 9 international development partners, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

Having previously created PEFA’s first interactive global report in 2020, Schema returned to design the 2022 Global Report which includes a new section on Crisis Budgeting, featuring a focus on various African countries’ budgetary response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Interactive maps and charts accompany the analysis and bring it to life while helping build understanding and engagement among the audience.
